The Chinese company Coracer has presented branded thermal pads based on graphene for AMD processors with the AM5 socket. According to the stated specifications, they conduct heat much more efficiently and last much longer compared to traditional thermal paste.
The Coracer GPE-01 “stickers” measure 32×32 mm and have a thermal conductivity of 130 W/m·K versus 73 W/m·K for Thermal Grizzly Conductonaut liquid metal and 7.5 W/m·K for Arctic MX-6 thermal paste. The thermal pads are made of a graphene-silicone composite “packed” in a dielectric material to prevent short circuits.
The manufacturer claims that the service life of the branded thermal pads is up to 10 years, compared to three years for average thermal paste. The price and sales start date of the Coracer GPE-01 have not yet been announced.
