Radeon RX 9060 XT graphics card compared to RTX 5060 Ti in games

The AMD Radeon RX 9060 XT is set to hit the market on June 5, but gaming test results have already surfaced online. Even before the official embargo lifts, reviewers have compared the new graphics card against its main competitor in a popular gaming scenario.

Leaked screenshots reveal the average frame rates at 1080p and 1440p resolutions, though the specific games tested were not mentioned. Comparing the new card with the GeForce RTX 5060 Ti, we can draw some initial conclusions:

  • at 1080p the average fps of the RX 9060 XT is 3.6% lower, but the 1% low is 3.5% better;
  • At 1440p, the RX 9060 XT’s average fps is 5.6% lower, while 1% low is 7.8% better;
  • In RTX On mode (1080p), the RX 9060 XT is 10.1% and 10.5% slower, respectively.

The tests reportedly used a Sapphire graphics card running at the standard GPU clock speed, so factory-overclocked models could deliver even better performance. More detailed information about the card’s capabilities will be available once the embargo on independent reviews is lifted.
