Honda has released its first production electric bike, the E-VO

Honda has announced the release of its first production electric motorcycle, the E-VO. After numerous concepts, the company has launched an affordable café racer-style model for the Chinese market through the Wuyang-Honda joint venture.

Honda unveils first production electric bike E-VO

The bike reaches speeds of up to 120 km/h and is equipped with a 15.3 kW or 20 horsepower motor. Two battery versions are used: 4.1 kWh for 105 km of travel and 6.2 kWh for 170 km. Charging takes 2.5 hours from a socket or 90 minutes at a high-power station.

The basic package includes a front camera, and the top package includes two cameras and two 7-inch TFT screens (instrument panel and navigation).

The model is currently only available in China in black and beige. The price starts at $4,500 for the base version and $5,100 for the version with an extended battery.
