JBL Launches Five New Soundbars with Dolby Atmos Surround Sound

JBL has introduced five new soundbar models at once: Bar 1300MK2, Bar 1000MK2, Bar 800MK2, Bar 500 MK2 and Bar 300MK2. The new products differ in technical characteristics, but each of them is positioned as a solution for providing high-quality surround sound as part of a home theater.

JBL Bar 1300MK2

The flagship JBL Bar 1300MK2 model is equipped with an 11.1.4-channel audio system with a total output power of up to 2370 watts. It includes a subwoofer with a pair of 8-inch drivers that support AI Sound Boost bass-pumping technology. The acoustics set also includes two wireless rear speakers that can be placed anywhere in the room, and six upward-firing speakers for surround sound (Dolby Atmos and DTS:X 3D).

JBL Bar 1000MK2 and Bar 800MK2

The JBL Bar 1000MK2 is a 7.1.4-channel sound system with a total speaker power of up to 960 watts. It comes with a pair of rear speakers, a 10-inch subwoofer, and a soundbar with two upward-firing speakers. The more compact 7.1-channel JBL Bar 800MK2, aimed at smaller rooms, squeezes out up to 780 watts of power.

The JBL Bar 500MK2 and 300MK2 are entry-level 5.0-channel models, the former featuring a 10-inch subwoofer.

All new products support Harman SmartDetails technologies for audio detail and PureVoice 2.0 for clear speech reproduction.

JBL Bar 500MK2 and 300MK2 are priced at €649 and €399 respectively in the European market. JBL Bar 800MK2 costs €899, JBL Bar 1000MK2 – €1149, and the top-of-the-line JBL Bar 1300MK2 will set buyers back €1499.
