Midjourney has announced its first proprietary AI model for video creation, called V1, which will allow users to first generate images and then bring them to life using a smart algorithm.
Midjourney V1 supports two modes of operation: automatic animation, which is created by pressing one button, and manual, when the user gets the opportunity to describe the desired actions of the object and what is happening in the frame. The Low motion parameter keeps the camera still, and High motion is used for scenes with movement of both the object and the camera.
You can also generate a video based on an uploaded image. To do this, drag the image to the prompt panel, mark it as the starting frame, and provide a text description to create the animation. The maximum length of a video is 5 minutes, but it can be “extended” four times – about four seconds at a time.
A basic subscription to V1’s “services” in the U.S. costs $10 per month. Users of the $60 per month Pro and $120 per month Mega plans get unlimited generations. Midjourney also said it will review its pricing structure within the next month.
