Nothing Shows What Will Replace Glyph Backlight in Upcoming Phone (3)

It is already known that Nothing has decided to abandon the signature “glyphs” in the design of its future flagship. Until recently, rumors were circulating on the Internet about the transition to matrix backlighting as an alternative to LED inserts – and finally, they received official confirmation.

On its official X social media account, the company announced a new backlight called Glyph Matrix, which is expected to offer more customization options to the user compared to the LED strips scattered around the case.

Judging by the teaser, the matrix display will be located in the upper right corner of the rear panel of the Phone (3). This means that the camera module will most likely not be located at the top center of the back cover, as suggested in early insider publications.

Nothing also previously confirmed that the Phone (3) will be powered by the Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 processor and will receive a seven-year security patch cycle. The Nothing Phone (3) is expected to launch on July 1, along with the Nothing Headphone (1).
