Thomas Morgan from Digital Foundry published a video with an analysis of the console version of the unsuccessful cyberpunk action game. It is predictably terrible: both on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series, the action “runs” only at 30 fps – if you’re lucky. As practice shows, even on PlayStation 5 Pro the new product constantly lags, but things are especially bad on Xbox Series S: during shootouts, the frame rate drops to 18 fps.
MindsEye resolution varies by platform. Image quality, however, is very low everywhere – in some places it’s just ugly, and in others it’s just weak by today’s standards.
- PS5 Pro – around 1296p.
- PS5 – from 972p to 1008p.
- Xbox Series X – from 972p to 1008p.
- Xbox Series S – 720p to 756p.
Morgan ended his review on a more or less positive note – he even noted that the game has its merits (the car physics are not bad in places, and the character models in the cut scenes are very good). Alas, everything else prevents you from enjoying the story, because the action still suffers from dozens of bugs and boring gameplay. The reviewer is sure that Build A Rocket Boy can still fix the situation with the help of updates, fortunately the game has potential.
