Call of Duty is widely considered one of the most successful series in the history of the entertainment industry – a brand known for generating significant revenue. However, this isn’t always the case in quantities that fully satisfy the publisher.
In a recent announcement, Activision stated it would end support for Call of Duty: Warzone Mobile. As of May 19, the title was removed from the Android and Apple app stores. While those who had already downloaded Warzone Mobile could continue playing, others missed their opportunity. The fate of the game’s internal servers, however, remained uncertain at the time, with no immediate plans for their shutdown being announced.
The company also closed the title’s in-game store and removed cross-platform social features from the FPS. Unfortunately, no refunds were issued for purchased items or COD Points.

In a statement, Activision said: “While we’re proud to have brought Call of Duty: Warzone to mobile in an authentic way, unfortunately the game hasn’t lived up to our expectations among mobile players, compared to the audience on PC and consoles.”
Call of Duty: Warzone Mobile originally premiered on March 21, 2024. One of its main features was cross-progression with versions on other platforms. Activision encouraged fans to consider playing Call of Duty: Mobile instead.
