Two weeks ago, CD Projekt RED (CDPR) shared a new poster for the epic RPG The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, not without reason, but as a prelude to the start of the celebrations in honor of the game’s anniversary. Now, the main event has arrived.
Yesterday, May 19, The Witcher 3 officially marked its 10th anniversary. To commemorate this milestone, CDPR released a unique trailer for its masterpiece. The video quickly garnered a million views in 24 hours.
“Ten years ago, players first set out with Geralt of Rivia to find Ciri. Thank you for continuing to walk the witcher’s path with us. It is thanks to you that The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt has become a true legend.”
But that’s not all. The studio also launched a themed sale on Steam and GOG with discounts of up to 90% (though access is restricted for players in Russia). Additionally, a special broadcast was held featuring Doug Cockle, the English voice actor for Geralt, the trilogy’s protagonist. Unfortunately, no new announcements were made during the stream.
Looking ahead, CD Projekt is also set to hold concerts this summer, where fans can enjoy music from The Witcher. Meanwhile, development for The Witcher IV is in full swing, and the company is currently in no hurry to share even hints about the game’s premiere date.
