Lenovo has launched the updated 2025 model of its Legion R7000P gaming laptop. This new iteration boasts a powerful AMD processor, a modern NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5060 graphics card, and an advanced cooling system engineered for sustained high gaming performance.
The laptop features a 16-inch display with a sharp 2560×1600 pixel resolution and a high 240 Hz refresh rate for smooth visuals. The screen reaches a brightness of 500 nits and has a fast 3 ms response time. The display panel is VESA DisplayHDR 400 certified, ensuring good contrast and brightness, and offers accurate color reproduction with 100% DCI-P3 color gamut coverage. It also supports NVIDIA G-SYNC technology, which synchronizes the display’s refresh rate with the GPU’s frame output to minimize screen tearing and stuttering.
The Lenovo Legion R7000P (2025) offers configurations with either an AMD Ryzen 9 8940HX or a Ryzen 9 8945HX processor. These high-performance CPUs work in tandem with the dedicated NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5060 graphics card. The laptop comes equipped with 16 GB of RAM and a fast 1 TB NVMe SSD for storage. Lenovo’s proprietary 3D Mesh cooling system, incorporating heat pipes and two fans, is designed to efficiently dissipate heat and maintain optimal performance during intense gaming sessions.
Additional features include a keyboard with a 1.6 mm key travel distance for comfortable typing, a high-speed Wi-Fi 7 module for cutting-edge wireless connectivity, and a comprehensive array of ports: USB Type-A (10 Gbps), USB Type-C, HDMI 2.1 (supporting high bandwidth for high-resolution displays and refresh rates), and an Ethernet port for a stable wired network connection. The included power adapter has a substantial power rating of 245 W to adequately supply the laptop’s demanding components.
In the Chinese market, the Lenovo Legion R7000P configuration with the AMD Ryzen 9 8940HX processor is priced at approximately $1220 USD, while the version powered by the slightly more powerful Ryzen 9 8945HX chip costs around $1260 USD. Information regarding global availability and pricing outside of China has not yet been officially announced by Lenovo.
