TECNO is leading the pack with the first phone powered by MediaTek’s brand-new Helio G200 processor. The upcoming SPARK 40 Pro+, the top model in the new SPARK 40 lineup, will be the first device to show off what the chip can do.
The Helio G200 is built on a 6nm process, making it more efficient and capable than most entry-level chips. It features eight cores—two fast Cortex-A76 cores and six power-efficient Cortex-A55 cores. In performance tests like AnTuTu, it pulls in around 470,000 points, which is a solid leap forward for budget phones. That should mean smoother multitasking, quicker app launches, and better battery life overall.
Graphics are handled by the Mali-G57 MC2 GPU, now clocked at 1.1 GHz. TECNO also says its own software boosts visual quality to 1.5K resolution, which should make everything from games to scrolling around the UI look sharper. On top of that, the chip includes an upgraded modem with DCSAR technology—that’s tech-speak for better signal stability, even in spotty coverage areas.
TECNO is pitching the SPARK 40 series as a great value—combining a fresh design, AI-powered features, and strong everyday performance. The phones are expected to launch globally sometime next month.
