ASUS Unveils High-Speed ROG Rapture Gaming Router with Neurochip

ASUS has introduced its groundbreaking ROG Rapture GT-BE19000AI, marking their first router to incorporate a dedicated AI chip designed to accelerate wireless network performance. This flagship model also boasts impressive core specifications, including tri-band support, seven Ethernet ports, and exclusive technologies aimed at minimizing in-game ping.

According to ASUS, the integrated Neural Processing Unit (NPU) offloads a portion of the network processing tasks, freeing up the main CPU’s resources. This optimization reportedly leads to an average power consumption reduction of 46% compared to similar platforms without a neural chip. Furthermore, a low-power microcontroller manages the device during idle periods to further conserve energy.

Gamers will appreciate the inclusion of Adaptive QoS 2.0 and ROG AI Game Booster technologies, specifically engineered to reduce latency in supported games (currently around 3000 titles) by up to 34%, as per ASUS’s claims. Beyond gaming enhancements, the router offers intelligent network analysis for potential threats and includes the ability to block advertising trackers and banners for a cleaner browsing experience.

The ROG Rapture GT-BE19000AI offers a combined total wireless throughput of 19 Gbps across its 2.4 GHz, 5 GHz, and 6 GHz bands, utilizing the latest Wi-Fi 7 standard (802.11be) with features like 320MHz channel bandwidth and 4K-QAM. For wired connectivity, the router features seven Ethernet ports: two 10 Gbps ports (one WAN/LAN, one LAN), four 2.5 Gbps ports (one WAN/LAN, three LAN), and one Gigabit LAN port, providing versatile high-speed connection options. It also includes a USB 3.2 Gen 1 port and a USB 2.0 port. The router is equipped with 4GB of DDR4 RAM and 32GB of eMMC flash storage to handle the AI processing and router functionalities efficiently.

While the ASUS ROG Rapture GT-BE19000AI is slated for release in 2025, the exact launch date and pricing details have not yet been officially announced. However, with its innovative AI-powered features and robust hardware, this router is positioned as a premium offering for gamers and power users seeking top-tier network performance and intelligent optimization.
