ASUS has introduced its new Pro WS series of power supply units (PSUs), designed for demanding configurations featuring multiple graphics cards. The series includes three models with nominal power outputs of 1600 W, 2200 W, and 3000 W, all supporting PCIe 5.1 and ATX 3.1 standards.
The flagship 3000W version is equipped with four 12V-2×6 connectors and is theoretically capable of powering four GeForce RTX 5090 graphics cards. All PSUs in the series come with comprehensive protection against low/high voltage, overheating, short circuits, power overload, and overcurrent.
The 2200W model also features four 16-pin connectors, but it officially supports four RTX 5080 graphics cards, rather than RTX 5090s. The base 1600W version, meanwhile, is equipped with only two such connectors.
All Pro WS series power supplies are 80 Plus Platinum certified and include a power factor corrector. However, they lack a “quiet” mode, meaning the fan will operate even under low load. These new products are primarily intended for corporate or professional use.
Pricing and the official sales start date have not yet been announced.
