Microsoft has begun testing a tool for advanced search of Edge browser history using an AI algorithm. According to the developers, the innovation will help find previously visited sites faster – even if the request is made inaccurately or contains typos.

According to the description of the new function, after it is enabled, the sites visited by the user will be displayed in the advanced search results of the browser history. At the same time, the AI will be able to find the necessary link, even if the computer owner enters a synonym of the original request or a site address typed with a spelling error in the search bar. The developers claim that the data that the algorithm operates with is not transferred to third parties.

The updated search feature is already available in the test version of the browser. At the same time, the company added a media control center to Edge, which allows you to manage multiple sources from different websites. The innovation includes quick access to the picture-in-picture mode and improved controls for music and video playback.
