Foldable iPhone Specs and Price Revealed by Reliable Source

Industry analyst Ming-Chi Kuo, known for his relatively accurate insider information about Apple technology, has published a large report dedicated to Apple’s first foldable smartphone. In particular, he named the expected release dates of the device, as well as its expected specifications and retail price.

According to the source, the smartphone will be a classic “fold” with a main screen diagonal of about 7.8 inches and an external display of about 5.5 inches. The new product will be equipped with a Touch ID fingerprint scanner built into the power button, but it will not receive Face ID due to design limitations. The case (9-9.5 mm thick when folded / 4.5-4.8 mm when open) and the hinge of the device will be made of stainless steel and titanium alloy.

The new product is expected to be equipped with a dual rear camera and a single front camera. Among other features of the model, the analyst mentions a wide range of AI functions and support for multitasking mode.

According to Ming-Chi Kuo’s forecast, the specifications of Apple’s first foldable smartphone will be approved in the second quarter of 2025. The project will be launched in the third quarter, and mass production will start only at the end of 2026. The expected price of the foldable iPhone is from $2,000 to $2,500.
