Google is expanding the reach of its Gemini AI assistant, bringing it to more platforms across the electronics ecosystem. The advanced assistant will soon be available on Android Auto, Android Automotive, and Google TV devices, according to the company.
Gemini will maintain all the features of the traditional Google Assistant while enhancing the functionality of supported devices. Users can expect more accurate search results and smarter interactions, including voice-based message responses.
Smarter Driving Experience with Gemini
On Android Auto, Gemini will support real-time message translation in over 40 languages and allow users to edit messages by voice. Google is also introducing Gemini Live, a conversational chatbot-style mode that lets drivers interact with AI hands-free while on the road.
Enhanced TV Experience
On Google TV, Gemini will help users discover new shows and movies by offering recommendations based on viewing preferences and age group. The home screen will also get a smart upgrade, turning into a more dynamic information panel with personalized content suggestions.
Google says Gemini AI will roll out to Android Auto in the coming months, with broader availability for Android Automotive and Google TV platforms by the end of the year.
