An insider at Digital Chat Station, citing his own sources, told what the Dynamic Island cutout will be like in the iPhone 18 Pro. He claims that Apple is already testing a display with a completely invisible Face ID module, thanks to which future iPhones will begin to resemble Android gadgets.
If the insider is reliable, the iPhone 18 Pro will be equipped with a 6.27-inch LTPO display with a resolution of 1.5K, and the 18 Pro Max will have a 6.86-inch matrix. The main feature of both new products will be the use of HIAA (Hole-in-Active-Area) technology, which allows you to hide the Face ID scanner, similar to the under-screen front cameras of Android gadgets. Only a round cutout for the camera sensor at the top center of the display will remain visible.
It is not yet known whether the basic version of the smartphone will receive a similar innovation. Previously, various specialized media reported that the iPhone 17 Pro will be a “transitional” model of the series with a reduced, but still noticeable cutout for the face scanner. Apple itself, as usual, does not comment on rumors about branded products.
