One of the Korean publications reported the release date and start of sales of the mixed reality headset Samsung Project Moohan – a potential competitor to Apple Vision Pro. Previously, the company showed prototypes of the device, but there was no information about the full release yet.
According to the Newspin portal, the Samsung headset on the Android XR platform will be presented on September 29 at the Unpacked event, and the start of sales of the new product is scheduled for October 13. The headset was first announced in 2023 , and its announcement took place in 2024 under the code name Project Moohan.
The headset itself has already appeared in a video review . It is based on the Qualcomm Snapdragon XR2+ Gen 2 processor, and is supposedly equipped with micro-OLED displays. The Gemini neural network is expected to play an important role in the device’s operation.
At the same time, journalists said that Samsung will show the Galaxy Z Fold7 and Z Flip7 clamshells in July. The exact date of their premiere remains a secret for now.
