Fully Electric and Hybrid Options to Launch in Late 2025
Jeep, the iconic American SUV brand and a division of the Stellantis group, has officially unveiled its next-generation Jeep Compass—a compact SUV now available exclusively in hybrid and fully electric versions. With advanced off-road capabilities and eco-friendly powertrains, the new Compass aims to blend the brand’s rugged DNA with cutting-edge technology.
Jeep Compass EV: Built for the Future
The Jeep Compass EV is built on Stellantis’ STLA Medium platform, which is shared across other European brands like Peugeot, Citroën, and Vauxhall. The all-electric Compass will be offered in two battery configurations:
-
73 kWh battery offering a driving range of up to 500 kilometers
-
96 kWh battery extending range up to 650 kilometers
Both versions promise a powerful driving experience, with the electric motor generating up to 229 horsepower in the standard model.
4xe Version Packs Extra Power
For those looking for even more performance, the top-tier Jeep Compass 4xe features dual motors, delivering a combined 370 horsepower and a staggering 3100 Nm of torque. The 4xe model can tackle off-road conditions with ease, even conquering 20-degree inclines with front-wheel slip.
Fast Charging and Practical Features
The Compass EV supports 160 kW DC fast charging, allowing the battery to charge from 10% to 80% in just 30 minutes—ideal for road trips and daily commuting alike.
Launch Timeline and Market Expectations
Jeep plans to begin deliveries of the new electric Compass in late 2025. The company has not yet announced pricing but is clearly targeting the booming C-SUV segment—a competitive market of compact SUVs and crossovers. Jeep hopes the Compass will replicate the success of the Jeep Avenger, which sold over 2.5 million units worldwide.
