Keychron has unveiled the K8 HE, a wireless gaming keyboard that packs the premium features of the full-size K4 HE into a more compact form factor. Available in two stylish variants, this keyboard boasts Hall-effect switches and a sleek, modern design.
Compact Layout, Premium Performance
Unlike the K4 HE, the K8 HE omits the numpad, opting for a more space-efficient 80% layout. The navigation keys are positioned above the arrow cluster, while the F-row is split into three distinct groups for better usability. Under the hood, the keyboard features Gateron Double-Rail Magnetic Nebula switches, which Keychron claims deliver ultra-precise actuation and responsiveness. Customization is handled via the Keychron Launcher software, allowing users to fine-tune settings to their preference.
Two Distinct Styles to Choose From
The K8 HE comes in two editions:
-
Standard Edition – Features translucent keycaps and vibrant RGB backlighting for gamers who love flair.
-
Special Edition – A more minimalist, office-friendly design with subtle aesthetics.
(The Special Edition carries a $10 premium over the Standard Edition.)
Versatile Connectivity & macOS Support
The keyboard supports three connection modes:
-
Bluetooth (for wireless freedom)
-
2.4GHz wireless (with a 1000Hz polling rate for competitive gaming)
-
Wired USB Type-C
Mac users get additional perks, including replaceable macOS keycaps and a hardware switch to optimize compatibility with Apple devices.
