Lenovo Chromebook with OLED display and MediaTek processor

Lenovo has released a new laptop called the Chromebook Plus 14. Its distinctive features include a display with accurate color reproduction, modern hardware with support for AI functions, as well as good battery life combined with a small size.

Lenovo Chromebook Plus 14 is equipped with a 14-inch OLED screen (regular or touch, depending on the modification) with a resolution of 1920×1200 pixels (16:10), 100% coverage of the P3 color space and a maximum backlight brightness of 400 cd/m². The laptop’s performance is provided by the MediaTek Kompanio Ultra 910 processor in combination with 12/16 GB of LPDDR5X RAM and a 128 or 256 GB UFS drive.

The new product supports local AI functions (text summarization, handwriting conversion to digital, background removal in photos, and much more). Buyers of the new laptops are provided with a 12-month subscription to Google AI Pro, which includes 2 TB of Google One storage and access to the Gemini chatbot.

Inside, there is a 60 Wh battery with support for fast 65-watt charging, which replenishes 80% of the energy in one hour. The manufacturer estimates the battery life of the laptop at 17 hours. The weight of the device is 1.26 kg or 1.17 kg for the touch and regular versions, respectively, the thickness of the case is 15.8 mm.

Among other features, the manufacturer highlights four speakers with Dolby Atmos, a 5-megapixel camera with a shutter, two microphones, an optional fingerprint scanner, as well as support for Wi-Fi 7 and Bluetooth 5.4. The set of wired interfaces includes two USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type-C and one USB Type-A 3.2 Gen 1, as well as a headphone jack.

The price of the new product in Germany is €649.
