Ubisoft is set to release the most significant update for Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six Siege this summer. This upcoming patch, unlike previous ones, promises to fundamentally transform the game and will add an “X” to its name, becoming Rainbow Six Siege X. The developers recently published the system requirements for the highly anticipated update and shared details of the planned changes.
As a result of these changes, Siege X will become somewhat more resource-intensive and will partially reduce support for Windows 10. However, only players aiming for “ultra-settings” graphics will truly notice the difference.

Finally, the developers presented a roadmap of upcoming content patches. Rainbow Six Siege X is set to launch on June 10, with Season 2, also known as Operation Daybreak, commencing on the same day. This update will significantly rebalance operators such as Clash (who recently received a gameplay trailer), Blackbeard, Jackal, Jäger, Thunderbird, and Sledge. It will also introduce a number of gameplay and audiovisual adjustments to the tactical shooter. By the end of 2025, players can anticipate two more seasons, featuring a new character in Season 3 and a reworked existing one in Season 4.
