Samsung criticizes iOS 26 design and features

With its recent presentation, Apple attracted the attention of not only users, but also other tech giants. In particular, Samsung could not resist the opportunity to troll Apple, ridiculing its “new” developments and not very impressive AI functions.

“Customizable apps? Floating panels? That sleek glass UI? Looks… familiar,” Samsung wrote on its official X social media account.

The Liquid Glass design does in some ways resemble Windows Vista’s Aero user interface, and the new app icon style in iOS 26 and macOS 26 has been reported by some testers to make icons harder to see and text harder to read.

At the same time, Samsung did not miss the opportunity to remind about the set of AI functions GalaxyAI, the analogues of which Apple has only just entered the beta testing stage.

“New to live translation? Welcome aboard! We already have real-time text and speech translation features. AI coming to your watch? Sweet. Ours already knows when you’re too tired to care,” Samsung adds.

Apple didn’t talk much about AI at WWDC, instead emphasizing the importance of user privacy. Some industry media outlets believe the Cupertino tech giant will need a long time to catch up with its Android competitors.
