Samsung Smart Monitor M9 became the first representative of the branded series of smart displays with a QD-OLED matrix. Another feature of the new product was the Tizen OS, thanks to which the monitor can be used as a smart TV with a cloud gaming function.
The Samsung Smart Monitor M9 has a 32-inch 4K display with a refresh rate of up to 165 Hz and a maximum brightness of 400 nits (VESA DisplayHDR True Black 400). The monitor supports AMD FreeSync Premium Pro and NVIDIA G-SYNC technologies, as well as AI upscaling to 4K and Active Voice Amplifier Pro sound enhancement.
The list of features of the model is supplemented by built-in microphones, an IR scanner for facial recognition and a 5-megapixel webcam. The set of interfaces includes Bluetooth 5.2, Wi-Fi 5 (AirPlay 2), HDMI 2.1, DisplayPort 1.4, USB-C (90 W) and two USB 3.0 Type-A connectors.
Thanks to the Tizen OS, the device can be used as a smart TV with support for cloud gaming via Samsung Gaming Hub. The monitor display, in addition to the OLED Safeguard+ AI features to protect against burn-in, has an anti-glare layer.
The body of the new product is made of metal and is equipped with a proprietary cooling system with heat pipes. The included stand allows you to turn, rotate and tilt the screen. The monitor has already gone on sale in South Korea at a price of $ 1,461, the company has not yet announced its availability in other countries.
