TECNO has officially launched its innovative POVA Curve 5G smartphone in India, marking the debut of its new “Curve” series. This device aims to stand out with its futuristic aesthetics, integrated AI functionalities, and impressive technical specifications, most notably its high-refresh-rate AMOLED display, all at an attractive price point.
The TECNO POVA Curve 5G boasts a striking 6.78-inch FHD+ AMOLED display with smoothly curved edges. This immersive screen offers a fluid 144Hz refresh rate and can reach a peak brightness of 1300 nits, ensuring vibrant visuals even in bright conditions. The display is protected by durable Corning Gorilla Glass 5, while the phone itself maintains a slim profile of just 7.45mm. The device ships with Android 15 and TECNO’s HiOS 15 skin, with a promised upgrade to Android 16 in the future.
Under the hood, the POVA Curve 5G is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 7300 Ultimate processor, built on an efficient 4nm process. This powerful chip is paired with up to 8 GB of RAM, which can be virtually expanded up to 16 GB for enhanced multitasking. A large 5500 mAh battery provides ample power for extended usage, and the 45W fast charging technology allows for a full charge in just 45 minutes. The inclusion of bypass charging helps to minimize heat generation during gaming sessions by directly powering the motherboard.
For photography, the smartphone features a 64 MP main camera utilizing a Sony IMX682 sensor, capable of recording 4K video. Both the main rear camera and the 13 MP front-facing camera support 4K video capture. The device also offers IP64-rated protection against dust and splashes, stereo speakers with Dolby Atmos enhancement for immersive audio, and a convenient in-display fingerprint scanner.
The TECNO POVA Curve 5G will be available for purchase in the Indian market starting June 5th. The 6GB RAM and 128GB storage variant is priced at $187 (INR 15,999) and will be exclusively available on Flipkart. The 8GB RAM and 128GB storage option will cost $199 (INR 16,999) and will be available through offline retail channels.
