Once upon a time, Rayman, the protagonist of the platformer of the same name, was considered the de facto mascot of Ubisoft. Alas, after a series of commercial failures, the last of which (Rayman Legends) dates back to 2013, the publisher seemed to have forgotten about the Rayman series. Gamers had been demanding the return of the hero for many years, and in 2024 the company announced a project with his participation – and, apparently, the ice has finally broken.
Internet users have noticed that the Ubisoft Milan studio is looking for a 3D animator and game designer who are ready to take on a new platformer about the Meadow of Dreams and its inhabitants. Moreover, the wording in the ads is unusually encouraging: the team is going to make a “prestigious AAA title,” so it needs experienced specialists with a couple of already released games.
Let’s remember that the previous Rayman was made by Ubisoft Montpellier. Milan is known for the Mario + Rabbids duology. Rayman, by the way, appeared in one of the DLCs for Mario + Rabbids: Sparks of Hope.
