The Legion Tab Y700 (2025) Gaming Tablet Transforms into a Portable Console

Lenovo has unveiled the Legion Tab Y700 (2025), a gaming tablet boasting flagship-level specifications. Beyond its powerful hardware and “esports-grade” display, the tablet can be transformed into a handheld gaming console with the aid of a dedicated case.

The Lenovo Legion Tab Y700 (2025) features an 8.8-inch IPS screen with a sharp resolution of 3040×1904 pixels and a high refresh rate of up to 165 Hz. It’s powered by the flagship Snapdragon 8 Elite chip, coupled with 16 GB of LPDDR5X RAM and a fast 512 GB UFS 4.0 storage drive. Other notable features include a high-resolution 50-megapixel rear camera, Wi-Fi 7 and Bluetooth 5.4 connectivity, and dual 1.5-watt stereo speakers enhanced with Dolby Atmos support.

To ensure optimal performance during intense gaming sessions, the tablet employs a sophisticated cooling system with two vapor chambers. It also houses a 7600 mAh battery with support for rapid 68-watt fast charging, all within a slim 6.99 mm thick chassis.

A key highlight of the Legion Tab Y700 (2025) is its ability to convert into a portable gaming console using the optional branded G9 case, which connects via USB-C. This accessory features integrated gaming controls, including analog sticks, buttons, and triggers, as well as customizable RGB backlighting for added flair.

The Lenovo Legion Tab Y700 (2025) is slated to go on sale in China starting May 31st. The 12/256 GB configuration will be priced at $456, while the higher-end 16/512 GB variant will cost $526. The dedicated G9 gaming case will be sold separately for $69. This innovative tablet aims to bridge the gap between tablet versatility and dedicated handheld gaming experiences.
