In a few days, the full release of Dune: Awakening will take place — a multiplayer survival game based on the Dune book series by Frank Herbert. Gamers who pre-ordered the title are already exploring the planet Arrakis and sharing their impressions on Steam.
Thanks to the extended early access period, the Awakening page has already received over 2,700 reviews. So far, the game holds a “Very Positive” rating. The main highlight for players is the well-crafted atmosphere of the desert planet. However, the most common complaints are poor optimization and server issues (some users even report losing their characters). Overall, players are satisfied.
“To be honest, I liked it. I understand this is a long-term game, but the first impression is what matters. The tutorial is intuitive — collect, study, build, and unlock new skills. I initially installed the game on an HDD, then moved it to an SSD, but it didn’t make much difference to the gameplay. So don’t worry — it runs fine on both. The graphics are great if you turn all the settings to max. The desert atmosphere feels real. Overall, I think it’s a good game that fans of this genre will enjoy. At launch, with a strong online presence of 80k players, I didn’t notice any major server issues. A solid start — we’ll see how it develops.”
