Vaio has expanded its product lineup with the F14 and F16 laptops, designed as practical devices for everyday use at home or work. While both models come in various hardware configurations, they mainly differ in screen size and battery life.
The Vaio F16 features a 16-inch display with a 1920×1200 resolution (16:10 aspect ratio), an anti-glare coating, and a lid that can flip 180°. A version with a 1600p display is expected to launch later. Performance options include Intel Core i3 100U, Core i5 120U, or Core i7 150U processors. RAM ranges from 8 to 32 GB, and storage options span from 256 GB to 1 TB.
Additional features include MIL-STD-810H certified durability, stereo speakers with Dolby Atmos, a fingerprint scanner, and a camera compatible with Windows Hello. Although battery capacity isn’t specified, battery life is rated up to 6 hours depending on usage. The F16 weighs 1.59 kg.
Connectivity includes two USB-A ports, two USB-C ports (with DisplayPort Alt and fast charging), HDMI, Ethernet, a headphone jack, Bluetooth 5.3, and Wi-Fi 6E support.
The F14 model is similar but has a 14-inch screen, weighs 1.23 kg, and offers up to 7.7 hours of battery life. Both models are available now in Japan, with prices starting around $1,000 depending on the configuration.
