The WhatsApp messenger has introduced a function for summarizing missed messages in dialogues and general chats. In line with trends, it is based on an AI algorithm, but the creators of the application assure that all correspondence will remain confidential.
According to the developers, the innovation will help to quickly grasp the essence of missed messages in personal dialogues and general chats, without wasting time reading a large amount of text. Processing is carried out using Private Processing technology in a secure cloud environment, isolated from both third parties and the company’s own servers.
The missed message summary feature is disabled by default and can be enabled in the settings. It is currently only available in the US for English-language messages, but both the geography of the service and the list of supported languages are expected to expand by the end of the year.
