Xiaomi has introduced the Mijia Pro hair dryer, which combines a classic design with several useful technical features. According to the manufacturer, this new product not only dries hair quickly but also improves its condition thanks to a built-in ionizer and an indicator system that shows the optimal distance between the device and the user’s head.
The Mijia Pro is powered by a brushless motor spinning at 110,000 rpm, generating an airflow of up to 70 m/s. Xiaomi claims the device can dry short hair in about 30 seconds, shoulder-length hair in three minutes, and long hair in five. There are four temperature settings available: cold air, hot air, alternating cold and hot, and warm air.
A thermistor and microprocessor regulate the airflow temperature up to 200 times per second. This not only maintains the selected heat level but also ensures scalp protection by keeping a constant air temperature of 50 °C. Additionally, the built-in ionizer reportedly improves the condition of hair and scalp compared to traditional hair dryers without this feature.
To prevent overheating, the hair dryer features an LED ring on its body that changes color depending on the distance from your head. This helps users maintain the optimal drying temperature. The Mijia Pro hair dryer is currently available only in China, priced at $80.
