The Xiaomi SU7 Ultra electric sedan set a speed record on the famous Nürburgring Nordschleife track. The car received the title of the fastest electric car among production models.
The electric car completed a lap in 7 minutes 4.957 seconds. The record was made possible by using a setup of two proprietary V8 engines and one V6 with a total capacity of 1,548 horsepower, as well as a torque vectoring system. With such characteristics, acceleration from zero to 100 km/h takes only 1.98 seconds, and the maximum speed exceeds 350 km/h.
The Nürburgring is one of the most difficult tests for cars, where their reliability is tested in extreme conditions. At the same time, Xiaomi announced the expansion of its cooperation with the circuit. As part of the partnership, a new turn called Xiaomi Curve was officially introduced on the Grand Prix track.
Xiaomi has become a participant in the Nürburgring testing as part of the so-called “Industrial Pool”. This cooperation gives the company the opportunity to conduct intensive tests and accelerated testing of new technological solutions, including components and systems for future generations of electric cars.
